The agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Mobiusly Pty Ltd (ABN 99 134 460 183), the company that makes DotSafe. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Mobiusly Pty Ltd. These terms apply to the DotSafe app and to this website. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard EULA) also applies to the app. If these terms and the standard EULA disagree, the standard EULA applies.
Your data is your responsibility
DotSafe is designed so that only you can open your vaults. This has consequences that you accept when you use it:
- If you forget a pattern, no one can open that vault. We cannot recover it.
- If you draw the duress pattern, every vault on that device is erased. We cannot undo it. A vault that has sync on can come back from iCloud when you draw its pattern.
- If you destroy a vault, or turn off sync for it, the data that you delete is gone.
- If you delete DotSafe, the vaults on that device are deleted with it. A vault that has sync on stays in iCloud.
Keep a separate copy of anything that you cannot afford to lose.
Plans and payments
Free has limits on the number of vaults, items and videos. Pro removes them and adds iCloud sync and sharing. Apple processes all payments.
- Pro Yearly and Pro Monthly are subscriptions. They renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period to stop the next charge.
- Manage or cancel a subscription in the Settings app: tap your name, then Subscriptions.
- Pro Lifetime is a single payment.
- Apple handles refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
When a subscription ends, your vaults stay on your device. Sync and sharing stop until Pro starts again.
Shared vaults
Share a vault only with people you trust. The members of a shared vault can see everything in it. A member with edit access can change or delete items. If the owner deletes a shared vault, or stops using iCloud, every member loses it.
Acceptable use
Do not use DotSafe to store or share content that is illegal where you are, or to harm other people. Because DotSafe is encrypted, we cannot see what you store, and we do not monitor it.
No warranty
We work to make DotSafe reliable and secure, but we provide it "as is". We do not promise that it is free of errors, or that it protects against every threat. The security page lists the known limits. To the extent that the law allows, we are not liable for loss of data, or for damage that comes from the use of DotSafe. Nothing in these terms limits a right that you have under the Australian Consumer Law, or under another law that does not let us exclude it.

The text and images on this website belong to Mobiusly Pty Ltd or to the people who licensed them to us. Photos in the screenshots come from Unsplash and Pexels. The names and numbers in the screenshots are invented.
Governing law
The law of New South Wales, Australia, applies to these terms. You and we agree to the courts of New South Wales. This does not remove a right that you have to use the courts where you live.
Changes
We can change these terms. If we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. If you continue to use DotSafe after a change, you accept the new terms.
